HORIZON DRIVE SCHEMATIC DESIGN

The design for our project in Carefree is coming along. We have decided to relocate the kitchen into the central portion of the home where the ceilings are vaulted. This relocation to a bigger, more prominent space emphasizes the role of the kitchen as the main hub of a modern home. However, this new location is also close to the hearth which recalls the more traditional role of the kitchen. With both of these characters, the new kitchen will reflect an important concept to the client: The blending of old and new.  

GRAND CANYON AVENUE

Right around the corner from our own house, there is a piece of property that has two little houses on it. In Flagstaff, there is a provision in the code that if both houses are deemed single family, you can divide the parcel-- no matter how small it may be. We are investigating just how tricky it's going to be to make the division and then to reconstruct and expand the back house to make a brand new cozy modern cottage.

OREGON AVENUE REMODEL

These are the schematic design plans for our remodeling job in central Phoenix. We are working with HUD to get financing and are currently looking for the right contractor to get the job done on a really tight timeline. Although we aren't moving a lot of walls, I expect big results!

HORIZON DRIVE RESTORATION & REMODEL

We are working on the early phases of design on a project down in Carefree, AZ. The views are awesome on this beautiful property overlooking the horizons of the desert landscape. Sitting on the deck or looking out of pitched picture windows, you  do feel an incredible sense of being carefree. We are hoping that our programming diagrams can resolve 2 flaws in the house that were caused by questionable additions. The first is Spatial Hierarchy and the second is Circulation.

CHERRY HILL KITCHEN

A family friend has commissioned us to install a tile backsplash in her kitchen. Her house is full of hand-crafted details and natural materials. In her kitchen she has gorgeous custom cherry cabinetry.

To compliment the style of the house we are featuring Motawi Arts & Crafts tiles as accent tiles above the range. These individually crafted tiles are truly pieces of art and have extremely clean relief lines and hand applied glazes. http://www.artsandcraftsman.com/8x8MOTAWI-TILES.html

For the field tile, we selected matte MCINTONES ceramic tiles in Asparagus Green.

This line of tile has a beautiful organic glaze with a high level of variation in color which resonates with the rest of the natural materials in the home.
